DESIGN
Sports design has always been my favorite genre. It’s where I started and where I would love to be as a career.
My passion towards sports design comes from being a sports fan.
I love seeing the content that my favorite sports teams put out on socials to connect with their audience, and I love to create that content as well.
Bringing an idea to life.
I love creating graphics using a hyper-realistic style that resembles an exaggerated version of reality. This Timo Werner edit is an example of my design process for a hyper-realistic edit.
kit-swaps are trending.
Using graphic design skills to change a person/players shirt is a skill that i’ve picked up over time. When covering sports news, it is a must when reporting on a transfer rumor or completed deal, to showcase the rumored player in their rumored teams shirt. This video is an example of a kit-swap I made for my page, NorwichHub, when the news broke that a deal had been agreed with Amankwah Forson.
Matchday
The Matchday or Gameday graphic in sports extremely important when it comes to invoking emotion in the audience and getting them excited for the day. An engaging, motivating matchday graphic can really get the fans up for the game and even effect the result, believe it or not. Below are some of my favorite matchday graphics i’ve made over the years.
starting xi
The Starting XI or Starting Lineup graphic is something that almost all professional sports teams use to let their supporters know what their team is going to look like when they step out onto the field. The goal with these graphics is to give the fans a clear picture of the team, prior to kick-off, tip-off, etc. Below are some of my favorite creations that i’ve made.
PLAYER EDITS
Edits of professional athletes are extremely popular on social media these days. The purpose of these edits are to engage fans of the players and emphasize the talent and ability of them as well. You want to make the player/s appear larger than life.
Here are some of my favorite player edits.
Reaction Graphics
When covering a sports team, you always have to be prepared with content beforehand, or be ready to create content for moments as they happen. Whilst covering sports teams, i’ve had countless moments where I have had to come up with an idea on the spot, bring it to life, and upload it before it’s too late. Timing is so important in this industry. Below are some of my favorite reaction posts i’ve made in my day.
